To promote, establish, develop and assist institutions, groups, bodies, organisations, and / or individuals for undertaking economic, educational, social, cultural reforms, consistent with the ideals of Lal Bahadur Shastri.

- To initiate or promote community based programmes for the development of marginal productive lands or waste lands or social forestry water shed management, rural energy, expansion of non-form employment to improve the productivity, promotion of small scale or large scale irrigation schemes etc.
|
|
|

To improve agriculture productivity of small farmers in the backward region and to improve productivity of food crops growth and consumed in rural areas.
|
|
- To improve health and nutrition for children, both urban and rural.
|

To promote economic and social well being of rural population by undertaking various steps such as undertaking income generating projects, improving access of credit among the self employed, mobilizing community actions, evolving alternate sources of household energy and imparting requisite training to improve skills in agriculture, dairy and sericulture.

To publicize magazines, journals, commemorative volumes and other literature on Lal Bahadur Shastri and also inculcate nationalism i.e. emotional integration and to setup information centres, libraries, etc. for those who may be interested in the above.

To create an empowerment fund to help institutions, bodies, organisations, groups and individuals engaged or to engage in the task of national reconstruction, youth welfare programmes and propagation of the ideals of Lal Bahadur Shastri

- To organise lecture series, seminars, conferences, symposiums on upliftment of rural masses, economic development and restoration of human values which were amply dear to Lal Bahadur Shastri
